Things are always more fun in a group and attending live theatre is no exception. There is always lots to chat about after a performance. You can compare notes on the production and relive together the moments that you enjoyed. And you can return to your day with something exiting to tell the rest of the office (or city) about.
Lunchbox Theatre is pleased to offer a discount of 20% for groups of ten or more. Attending a play with your club or team, the social club from work or simply a group of friends is a great way to take a break during the day or after work . Especially fun is the Friday 6:10pm "Happy Hour" performance where your ticket entitles you to a free drink at the Auburn Saloon next door. It is a great way to unwind with a group of friends from the office at the end of the week or somewhere to meet up with friends to officially kick off the weekend. Remember that with a large group it is important to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
A trip to Lunchbox can be a great teambuilding activity, reward, or special event for your employees or staff members. For teambuilding outings - whether a small team of 10 or a group of 120 - we can accomodate you in one of our regular performances, or at an alternate time if that would fit in better with your schedule. Additional acitivies following the one hour performance - be it a luncheon, reception or theatre related team building activities - can be arranged for your group. We can also make it possible for you to offer tickets to your employees as gifts or rewards.
Lunchbox theatre has a longstanding relationship with many corporate social clubs as a monthly outing. And we're a come-as-you-are theatre experience. There is no need to dress up or be intimidated if attending theatre is not your usual fare. Just come down and have a good time with your coworkers! And Lunchbox's performance times are easy to fit into your schedule. You can bring a social club to a lunch time performance during work hours and Lunchbox can even provide pre-packed lunches for the low cost of $10 per person. Just make your selections, pre-order and we will have it all here waiting for you. Or come to a Friday evening performance and head over to the Auburn Saloon before or after the show for your complimentary drink.

A school trip to Lunchbox is perfect for enlivening education through theatre. Our one act format and shorter lengths are perfect for kids who aren't used to sitting through long productions, and our noon performance time fits conveniently into the school day. Talk backs with the cast and crew are available at no additional charge.
Through our Education Comes Alive program, students benefit from a $5/student rate, with one free chaperone ticket provided per ten students in a group. These tickets are subsidized by community minded businesses: Nexen and Agrium. Our Education Comes Alive school matinee rates are available to schools for any of the productions in our season. However, we do choose two productions annually that are particularly appropriate for school groups. In the 2011/2012 season, the featured productions are:

Jake's Gift by Julia Mackey, Directed by Dirk Van Stralen
October 24 - November 19, 2011
A Canadian World War II veteran reluctantly returns to Normandy, France for the 60th anniversary of the D-Day invasion. There, Jake encounters a 10-year old whose inquisitiveness and charm challenge him to confront some long-ignored ghosts. This charming play has been a hit across Canada and beyond. Don’t miss it!
For Schools: This touching production is perfect for school children from grades three and up. It's a way for students to engage with Canada's military history. Julia Mackey, its creator and performer, travelled to Juno Beach for the 60th anniversary of D-Day, and this play is the result.
