After assistant directing during the season, the Emerging Director directs a showcase production with professional actors and designers and full production values. A spotlight on the talent that will grace Calgary’s stages in future.
Valmai Goggin has been assistant director on productions throughout Lunchbox Theatre’s regular season, and now she, as the 2012/2013 RBC Emerging Director at Lunchbox Theatre, will direct a showcase production of Harold Pinter's The Lover with professional actors and designers, and full production value. This important part of each Lunchbox season is a spotlight on the talent that will grace Calgary’s stages in future.
About The Lover by Harold Pinter:
Richard and Sarah each have a busy afternoon planned. He asks if her lover will be visiting this afternoon and offers to "work late" while she entertains. But things take an unexpected twist ... Pinter turns suburban married life on its head in this dangerous game of sexual manners.
