Rupert's Land
by James Hart
Life is piling on Rupert. It’s too much. He escapes to a remote atoll in the South Pacific leaving everything behind, including Penny. A kind of peace and quiet happens after that but it’s not exactly peaceful or quiet. Conversing with nature takes a different spin. And in the end, there’s a beginning.
Performance Time: Wednesday September 17, 4pm
Location: Lunchbox Theatre Stage - Vertigo Theatre Studio

Evergreens
by Madeline Hunter Smith
ER doctor Natalie Green and triage nurse Sean Halcomb are stuck with the night shift on Christmas Eve at Evergreens County Hospital in their sleepy Alberta town. As the end of the shift approaches and it seems like the pair might make it through the night without any major incident, Natalie and Sean are caught by surprise when an older man arrives at the emergency room through the heavy snow. The medical team work to treat him and, as Christmas morning draws near, so do each of their unspoken truths.

Deadline Day
by Arun Lakra
It’s the morning of NHL Trade Deadline Day, and there’s chaos at the home of Peter Barker, General Manager of the Calgary Flames. Barker prepares to face the rabid media, the city’s frustrated fans, his fellow GM vultures, plus his assistant GM who’s clearly after his job. Meanwhile, Barker’s wife, Christine, is about to leave for her charitable organization’s fancy $2000-a-plate celebrity luncheon. And their son, Cole, is headed to a rally to protest government funding of the new arena. Amidst the shouting and cellphones, the doorbell rings. It’s Olivia, a 16 year-old girl who’s about to rock this house like a Jerome Iginla slapshot to the groin.
Performance Time: Friday September 19, 4pm
Location: Lunchbox Theatre Stage - Vertigo Theatre Studio
