RIBSTONE
Written and performed by Christopher Hunt
October 7 - 17, 2026
A vulnerable, hilarious guided tour through the complicated history of southern Alberta.
Back by popular demand, RIBSTONE is an intimate storytelling performance from one of Calgary’s best loved entertainers. Music and history come together as Christopher Hunt weaves tales of his family’s ranching roots. With old-time folksiness, old-time music, and old-time humour, Christopher retells the story of Alberta with modern eyes, stopping to spin a yarn or two along the way. From a butcher shop in Calgary to a long-vanished Blackfoot sacred site, RIBSTONE asks: What do we inherit? What do we forget? And what stories are ours to tell?
Called “beautiful and personal” by the Calgary Herald, RIBSTONE sold out its entire run at Lunchbox last January as part of the High Performance Rodeo.
