A heartwarming holiday comedy – with tap dancing!
Patty and Joanne’s Adult Beginner Tap Class has dwindled in attendance and the instructor has quit, just in time for the Grand Christmas Cup Winter Dance Competition. Nevertheless, the two unlikely friends decide to band together and face the judges alone for a shot at High Gold. Patty, a harried mother with a pessimistic outlook, and Joanne, a cheerful woman with a perpetual abundance of spirit, push their limitations while rediscovering their holiday spirit in this hilarious buddy comedy.

Beginner Tap Classes after Performances of How Patty and Joanne Won…
If you're looking to pick up a new skill just in time for the holidays, come to the Saturday afternoon performances of How Patty and Joanne Won High Gold at the Grand Christmas Cup Winter Dance Competition and learn to tap dance, just like the titular Patty and Joanne! Come to one of two performances that feature tap classes (November 29 or December 6 at 4pm), and then return on December 13 to strut your stuff at our open tap jam.
Each tap session begins right after the show's performance at roughly 5pm.
Tap Classes: November 29 and December 6 (45 minutes)
Join us after the show to learn some of Patty and Joanne's favourite tap steps! All abilities and experiences welcome, and no special footwear required! Soft-shoe it in your sneakers, or dust off your dancing shoes if you've got them. We'll learn a short piece of choreography from the show, as well as the "National Anthem of Tap Dance", the Shim-Sham-Shimmy!
Tap Jam: December 16 (45 minutes)
Come on back for Patty and Joanne's Tap Jam! We'll dance the section of show choreography together! Tap lovers, tap enthusiasts, and tap newcomers alike are welcome. No ticket purchase necessary!
Legacy Ticket Pricing
On the first Sunday afternoon performance of each production in our 51st anniversary season, we invite you to celebrate 51 years with special Legacy ticket price: $19.75 — in honour of our founding year, 1975.

After the show's performance, most (usually all) of the actors return to the stage to answer your questions and provide insight into the play you have just experienced.
